Zendeq is a brand new all-in-one platform that focuses on transportation, warehousing and fulfillment. It is a digital Sourcing and Lead Generation platform where logistic service providers and shippers (brands, manufacturers, retailers) connect. Based on smart matching, shippers can make quote requests to suitable logistic service providers. The entire quoting process, from request to agreement, takes place via the platform and replaces the classic email chain, without the intervention of a broker. A fast, reliable and inexpensive way for both parties to offer and purchase logistics services.
A platform specifically geared towards this concept is not unknown in the industry, but the business model of Zendeq is new in this market. Therefore, the expectations of certain functionalities are already at a high level for an MVP that serves as core business, compared to when you launch a new business concept.
Through agile software development we realized the MVP, with Kris Wessels (Zendeq) as product owner and Tom Brand (Blue Green) as lead developer. In a few sessions, we drafted the basic requirements and during the process we continually challenged ourselves to realize the MVP relatively quickly and inexpensively.
Most Mendix Partners usually focus on larger companies, but the cooperation with Zendeq was a great opportunity to show that Mendix is also very suitable for SMEs.
The MVP consists of a platform in which brands, manufacturers and retailers on the one hand and logistic service providers on the other can register. The onboarding process is done via Zendeq. Shippers can search for new business partners and in addition they can make a quote request mostly focused on expedited and unplanned freight services. The quote request is sent to logistic service providers that are suitable based on smart matching on characteristics such as delivery area, delivery time, type of goods, etc. With Kris his master data and industry-specific knowledge, we were able to set up the matching criteria in the platform very accurately .
The handling of the quotation process is also completely done within the platform. As a shipper you can select which service provider you want to work with, based on the quotes you receive. Details about the delivery are communicated through Zendeq, as well as transport information, such as shipping documents and track and trace. This way, all agreements and communications are recorded and secured on the platform.
Based on feedback from key users we will continue to develop Zendeq. For example by making the matching smarter (machine learning), integrations with track and trace systems, geolocation and integrations with users’ accounting software.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
